As a neighborhood in the early development of Seattle, Maple Leaf is said to have possibly attained its name due to it being so far north that it might as well have been Canada. There is also talk that it was named after the Maple Saw Mill that operated to the east on Lake Washington or for the maple trees that once grew in the area. No matter how Maple Leaf was given its name, it is still the same peaceful yet beautiful suburb where the real estate continues to expand. This neighborhood is ordered by Northgate and Pinehurst to the north, Wedgwood to the east, Roosevelt to the south, and Licton Springs to the west.
This north Seattle neighborhood enjoys a cool pleasant weather round the year, which encourages comfortable living as compared to other major areas along the country side. Homes for sale in Maple Leaf ensure extremely close access to Green Lake Park, which is directly on the Green Lake shore, as well as Wallingford Center and other local attractions such as Fine Impressions Gallery, Snow Goose Associates, and Omega Art and Design Center. For people with children, the Perkins School and Olympic View Elementary School are in the vicinity for the kid's education.
