The city of Lynnwood was established in 1959, previously call Alderwood Manor, and is a part of Snohomish County. It is located only 16 miles north of Seattle and just south of Everett, so the city remains very close to ferries, casinos, mountains, beautiful city parks and trails, lakes a golf course and wineries. Many of the Lynnwood residents work in Seattle and the surrounding areas. There are several schools in the area for children of all ages, as well as Edmonds Community College. Lynnwood has several shops, restaurants and malls and is close to Highways 99, 524 and the I-5. This beautiful city also has many Community events throughout the year.
